Central Electric Railfan's Association May 1990 fantrip on the Illinois Central / Metra electric commuter lines.
I believe that this photograph was taken in the West Pulman
area of the southside of Chicago, on the Blue Island branch.
Eddie, From looking at the catenary bridges behind the train I believe this was photographed at the 91st St. station on the South Chicago branch, before this was redeveloped; the abandoned track next to the train is leftover B&O freight rails that paralleled the IC and once crossed this line at 84th St. until around 1972.
