Stockton, Terminal & Eastern Railroad 2-6-2 steam locomotive # 3.
The state of California, once had many steam powered short
line railroads. some like the Stockton, Terminal & Eastern
Railroad, are alive and well today, now powered by diesel
locomotives and newer equipment.
Stockton, Terminal & Eastern steam locomotive # 3, was
built during the 1920's by the Baldwin locomotive works
of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and originally worked for
a couple of lumber companies pulling log trains.
It spent it's final working years in the 1940's and 50's,
pulling freight trains and working switching locals,
on the Stockton Terminal & Eastern Railroad.
