I took this photograph in May of 2006, while I was traveling home from work at the end of the day. I occasionally enjoy an occasional dose of railfanning on location before or after work. A lovely late afternoon was spent on this day, photographing the former A,T & S F (Santa Fe) mainline in near southwest suburban Hodgkins Illinois. A mid train cut of covered hoppers, with one still in Burlington Northern Railroad markings, is seen passing under the overpass bridge I was standing on.
