I took this rare night time photo at Elsdon Yard, in April of 1983. A crewmember has just left the Elsdon Depot on foot, and has climbed aboard a slowly moving southbound GTW freight leaving Elsdon Yard on a night time manifest train. The locomotive is lit with the outdoor lights coming from the Elsdon Depot on West 51st Street.Monday, February 11, 2008
