I took this photo looking east from the Metra commuter rail station on York Street in downtown Elmhurst Illinois in August of 1989.It was so hot outside, that You could see the heat rising from the sidewalks and the locomotives. A westbound freight train has just departed nearby Proviso Yard in Bellwood Illinois, while an eastbound slows down for its approach into Provisio with a heavy freight train in tow.
