I took this photo one day after work in May of 2006. We are at West 60th Street
and South Oak Park Avenue in Chicago's Clearing neighborhood at the city limits
near the suburban towns of Summit and Bedford Park Illinois. An eastbound BNSF Railway transfer train with a locomotive borrowed from the Canadian National Railroad, is rounding the curve and heading east over the Belt Railway of Chicago trackage. This freight train has just left the west end of Clearing Yard with tonnage in tow. The quiet is interupted by the squeeling of flanged wheels on the curve, and the rumble of heavy duty mainline diesel elctric roadswitcher locomotives.
