One of the most succesful North American transit buses
from the 1960's and 70's era, were the General Mottors
Corporation's TDH Series "New Look" or "Fishbowl
Windshiled buses, introduced in 1959.
The former West Towns Bus Company in Chicago's
western suburbs, had acquired severAL 35 foot TDH
models, and ordered more after the Chicago RTA was
formed and began operations in 1974. These buses lasted
in service, until retired in 1993.
