A New York Central Railroad 50 foot single door box car, circa 1960's era.

The prototype New York Central Railroad, began painting
some box cars and various other freight cars and cabooses,
in this color scheme known as "Century Green" begining in
1958, accompanied by the New York Central's "New"
Cigar Band logo.

Roofwalks were outlawed from box car roofs during the 1960's, and
there is evidence that this box car, had recent roofwalk removal itself.
