I took this photo looking south near the intersection of Prairie and Brookfield Avenues, in west suburban Brookfield illinois. Twilight is rapidly approaching the village of Brookfield Illinois just after sunset, and this image is a nice end of the day mood scene. It was very quiet and serene when I took this photo, as it was between train times on the very busy BNSF Railway / Metra , Chicago to Aurora Illinois 3 track mainline. Luckilly that didn't last too long, as two trains would soon be meeting at this crossing in about 15 minutes.
