Hello everyone!
Welcome aboard the "Bus Day" edition of Eddie's Railfan Page.
I took this photo in August of 1990, on West 111th Street near South Pulaski Road in Chicago's Mount Greenwood neighborhood. The Chicago Transit Authority was in a transition period when I took this photo in August of 1990. These green and cream colored CTA bus stop signs from the 1960's were still standing on many a Chicago street corner in 1990, but newer blue and white ones were rapidly replacing them.
Aside from a "New Image" white, blue and red color scheme introduced on the old rehabbed buses in 1989, new buses were also on order.
