I took this photo one bitterly cold and windy Winter morning in January of 2007.
We are facing north looking at the Canadian Pacific ex Milwaukee Road Bensenville Yard in near northwest suburban Franklin Park Illinois. Bensenville Yard is a very large rail terminal hub operation, that occupies land in both Franklin Park and nearby Bensenville Illinois near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.
I photographed this Canadian Pacific maintenance truck looking north from adjacent Green Street / Franklin Avenue along the south perimeter of the yard near Wolf Road.

Glade to see this posting. I have some information on a Indiana Railroad Museum, will need to get my facts and post later.
THe Milwauee Road, Then Soo Line, and lastly Canadian Pacific, has a great and colorful history in our area. I am looking forward to sorting through some of my old photos and posting them, and maybe others will do the same.
