A former New Orleans Public Service Co 1920's era streetcar. The Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn Hotel. Chattanooga Tennesee USA. May 1990.
I took this photo during a May 1990 Family motorcoach vacation to the Great Smokey Mountains in the states of Tennesee and North Carolina.
On the return leg of the trip. We stayed for a couple of nights at the Chattanooga Choo Choo Holiday Inn Hotel in downtown Chattanooga Tennesee. This hoyel is actually the former Chattanooga Union Station from pre Amtrak times. Today, it is a railroad museum and hotel complex.
this old 1920's era standard electric streetcar originally worked for the New Orleans Public Service Company in the state of Louisianna. Today it shuttles hotel guests along the perimeter of the hotel. This trolley car was built by the Pearly A. Thomas Car Company.
This company today, is now the Thomas School Buses Company.
