I found this phjotograph on the internet recently, but I don't recall what the name or the URL of the websiite was.
For many years prior to 1967, Chicagoans of all ages would occasionally enjoy a fun summertime outing, to Riverview Park on the northside of Chicago.
Riverview Park was a huge 74 acre amusement park located on North Western Avenue, and was surrounded by West Belmont Avenue to the south, the north branch of the Chicago River to the west, and West Roscoe Street to the north.
This is a rare color photograph that was taken somewhere on the midway inside Riverview Park, showing the park's game arcade building.
Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!
