New York City Transit Authority 1960's era GMC "New Look" Fishbowl windshield bus with "Bat Wing" advertising panels tnear the roof. New York City., a photo by Eddie from Chicago on Flickr.
I found this vintage 1960's era bus photograph fron New York City on the internet.
One of the longest running production models of transit bus here in the United States and Canada, was the General Motors TDH Series fishbowl windshield "New Look" buses.
Production began on these then futuristic looking transit buses in 1959, and continued in to the early 1980's.
These buses could be found in most North American cities from the 1960's in to the 1990's. A handful have even made it in to museum preservation.
Thanks.
Eddie K.
