Hello everyone!
Welcome to Eddie's Railfan Page.
I was looking through My photo archives this morning, and decided to share with You some photographs I had taken around Chicago during early September of 2006. I hope you enjoy them.
Seen here looking south from West 26th Street in the village of Cicero Illinois, is a Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway EMD Gp 38 diesel roadswitcher now used for yard switching near the CECO intermodal facility. The locomotive is still in the colors and markings for the previous
railroad it worked for, The Burlington Northern. The Burlington Northern and the Atchinson,Topeka & Santa Fe Railroads merged in 1995 and became the BNSF. Notice the old BN logo on the nose of the locomotive. The light rain that day added to the working day feel.
