Northbound CTA Route # 8 Halsted street bus and a restored 1957 Ford Fairlaine. Chicago Illinois USA. September 2006.
I took this photo one morning, in September of 2006. A weather beaten 1990's era CTA Flxible Metro transit bus, passes a parked but lovingly restored 1957 Ford Fairlaine automobile on North Halsted Street .

Thank you Eddie for your tribute to my beautiful Grandma Scala. She is very loved and missed by all of us, whose lives she was a part of. I am honored to call her grandma and I thank God for her and all she has been in my life and the lives of so many as yourself. Thank you for coming to the wake, it was a true pleasure to have met. Thank you again for the pictures of Grandma Scala and Uncle Tony. I love how you mentioned how everyone called grandma "Emily". When I was a little girl I had a scooter-like giraffe and I named it Emily after grandma. Also, On Sunday, March 30th the day after my grandma passed,I had my oil change and paid with cash. When I looked at my change on Monday when I was going through my purse, there was a five dollar bill with "Emily G." written on it! Wow! I thought, praise God for His Graces!!! Thank you again Eddie for appreciating and honoring my beautiful and cherished grandma...I love her and miss her so much. May God Bless You and Yours Always and Smile Upon You, Michele Crosswhite
