Digital Live Sound Video: Mechanical safety fence gate closing at the Isabella Street CTA railroad crossing. Wilmette Illinois. Wednsday evening, August 4th, 2010.

I photographed this up close behind the scenes image of a mechanical safety fence gate closing, at the Chicago Transit Authority's Isabella Street Purple line rapid transit railroad crossing, in north suburban Wilmette Illinois.

Between the Linden Avenue terminal andf the Isabella Street railroad crossing, the CTA Purple line operates at ground leval through a very scenic wooded setting. These mechanical safety fence gates are very important, and help to keep people from trespassing on to the electrified third rail right of way at the Maple Avenue, and the Isabella Street CTA railroad crossings.

This gate is viewed closing after a southbound Purple line train enroute to downtown Chicago, had just left thevilage of Wilmette Illinois.
