I took this photograph during a recent group photo outing to the far southeast side of Chicago and neighboring Hammond Indiana.
Seen here on the Chicago side of the state line border immediately west of Hammond Indiana, is the station stop at Hegwish, which is actually an outpost neighborhood in Chicago on the outskirts of town.
In recent years, this station stop on the electrified Chicao, South Shore And South Bend Railroad, was re equipped with these high leval boarding platforms.
