February of 2007, was one of the worst and coldest months in Chicago's winter weather history. With single digit daily outdoor temperatures, fierce biting winds blowing in out of the west, night time temperatures of ten below zero or lower, water main pipes bursting daily under Chicago's city streets, and the Chicago Transit Authority utilizing extra buses as makeshift warming centers..it was a tough time for everybody in the windy city that particular winter. Brrr!
