Gates lowered in preparation for drawbridge lifting. Chicago Illinois USA. Saturday, October 15th, 2011.

Hi everyone!
This is Eddie K, your host and photographer here at Eddie's Railfan Page.

I took this photograph during an October 2011 photo outing to the far southeast side of Chicago, and neighboring Hammond Indiana.

The gates on the East 95th Street drawbridge over the Calumet River have just lowered, and soon this bridge will be opened to allow a local masted sailboat to pass through the channel.
