Although many Chicagoans including myself are pretty much "Sick of winter" already...I still find Chicago Winter Railroading to be a fascinating photo subject.
I took this photograph back in December of 2013.
A westbound Metra local commuter train enroute to Aurora Illinois, is viewed making the station stop at west suburban Riverside Illinois, during a very cold, windy and very overcast winter afternoon. There were sharp winds blowing out of the west that day making it feel colder than it actually was that day. Passing trains on the BNSF Railway's 3 track mainline, were kicking up snowdust in their wake during my short and very skin stinging visit at the station.
