With great weather outdoors yesterday and a complete lack of ice on the asphalt exercise path...I headed out to West Park in northwest suburban Des Plaines Illinois, for some long overdue fun and exercise on my inline roller blade skates.

Chicago's winter of 2014 was brutally lengthy, and featured several days and weeks on end of heavy frequent lake effect snowstorms, ice and sometimes dangerously cold temperatures in the single digits, and sometimes even below zero.

After hanging up my skates and gear when the winter weather arrived early during late November of 2013, it was definitely time to come back, and resume a fun and healthy past time in the park.
