On display for all to see today, is the landmark Tower B-12 on display in a parklike setting. As the logo on the north side of the tower indicates, this was once Milwaukee Road Country!
Tower B-12 was the Junction tower that controlled the railroad traffic at the crosstracks and interchange with the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad just east of 25th Avenue. This tower was used until the late 1990's, and moved approximately 6 blocks west in it's display location. Many of the towers I photographed during the 1980's have long since been demolished. Thank You Franklin Park and CP Rail for saving this railfan landmark for all.
