My paper route was on the left, Knox and Kilpatrick from 65th to 67th. In 1956-59, when airplanes had propellers!
That must have been a pleasant time to live and grow up in that Chicago neighborhood back then.
I sometimes imagine how this transfer train would have looked like back then with a 2-8-2 , or a large 2-10-2 drag freight steam locomotive on the head end in earlier times.
Ones imagination has all the bells and whistles.
