I took this photo alongside West 55th Street just east of South Cicero Avenue on Chicago's southwest side. These Chicago Transit Authority rapid transit cars, are seen resting on the turnaround baloon track loop at Midway Terminal as another summer day is nearing the end.Construction of the CTA Orange line to Midway Airport began during the late 1980's, and opened for service in the fall of 1993.
