The building addition on the west side of Wahburne Trade School, housed the Welding Shop Classes, and also was the location of the schools loading docks. Washburne had two sets of loading docks. There was the east side ones along South Kedzie Avenue, and the west side ones in the building near the railroad tracks with the sun shining through whats left of it. I attended Welding # 101 here for six months in room # 434 back in the early 1980's. It was a waste of money, and there was absolutely no job placement what so ever. The 1980's were tough times.
Welcome to my rail fan page! Here you'll find information and pictures of railroad related items from the Chicagoland area, Wisconsin and Indiana. Enjoy your stay. All Aboard!
