There is no finer Autum day than one with warm temperatures and crystal clear skies. A westbound BNSF Railway freight train is seen racing through western suburban Riverside Illinois. The bright seasonal orange tree leaves seem to compliment the bright orange BNSF General Electric diesel locomotive in the BNSF Phase # 1 color scheme. The BNSF's orange and dark green color scheme honors a pre 1970 Burlington Northern predecessor railroad known as The Great Northern Railroad. This was indeed a lovely day to take in the wonderfull Autum colors in the greater Chicagoland area.
