Today is "Bus Day" here at My blog site, the first one for 2007 actually. I hope these photos will bring back some happy memories to all My fellow and former Chicagoans out in computer land,
Seen here in April of the year 1989, is a westbound CTA 1970's vintage GMC bus, rolling out it's final years after being rebuilt. The paint scheme shown here was introduced in 1989, and had replaced the previous tow tone green and cream colors Chicago knew for many years.
The old General Motors buses like the one shown here, were all retired by 1996.
