A cold and windy morning in January of 2007, finds a westbound UPS intermodal trailer train passing through suburban Mc Cook Illinois. This train is being handled by 2 Norfolk Southern Railroad diesel locomotives instead of the usual orange BNSF ones normally seen on this line.I have been seeing a lot of Norfolk Southern "Run Through" and transfer operations on the BNSF lately, as well as their engines mixed in with BNSF units on freight trains. A possible merger?
