The red Kenosha Wisconsin PCC Trolley. January 2001.
I stood outside in a 5 above zero farenheight temperature, to capture this winter streetcar photograph in downtown Kenosha Wisconsin back in early January of 2001. The red trolley was built in 1951, and origianally worked in Canada for the Toronto Transit Commision. After retirement in the mid 1990's, this car and 4 others, were eventually refurbished and placed into operation on the Kenosha Electric Streetcar operation. This car is heading west on 54th Street. Notice the tall snowbanks on the normally grassy private right of way.
