Digital Live Sound Video: The demolition of Chicago's Wahburne Trade School on West 31st Street. Chicago Illinois USA. Late July 2009.
A local abandoned and long unused landmark on Chicago's near southewest side, is in the final stages of structural demolition in 2009. Located on West 31st Street between South Kedzie Avenue and South Christiana Avenue in Chicago's Little Village neighborhood, this former Liquid Carbonic Corporation owned factory, later became a vocational trade school. It had closed sometime between 1988 and 1990. Local neighborhood residents have been wanting the property to be redeveloped in to a large city park.
