I took this photo on a rainy evening after work around sunset.
Seen here heading northbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago at the South Archer Avenue railroad crossing near Midway Airport, is a lenghty BNSF Railway transfer freight train made up mostly of covered hopper cars used in Grain service.
Aside from the fact that this nomally dirty looking freight train was glistening from the periodic rain showers that fell on the Greater Chicagoland Area, a pleasant surprise was finding this pre 1995 covered hopper car from the fallen flag railroad Burlington Northern. Still rolling around in the Cascade Green color scheme as well.
