I took this photo on West Belmont Avenue near North Clark Street one bright and sunny morning, in late August of 2007. A northbound Chicago Transit Authority Brown line rapid transit train, has just come to a stop at the temporary Belmont Avenue station. The CTA Brown Line, formerly known as the Ravenswood Elevated in past years, is currently being rebuilt with new stations and longer platforms, to accomodate the standard 8 car rush hour trains, and to have facilities that are handicapped accessible. The platforms on the former Ravenswood line, only was able to accomodate 6 car trains untill recently.
