The little flagstop depot used by both Metra and Amtrak trains. Summit Illinois USA. January 2008.
I took this photo on a sunny and somewhat mild winter morning, in early January of 2008. With cold temperatures and heavy lake effect snows a week or two ahead, it was a nice morning to be on location with a camera in hand.
This is the tiny little flagstop depot used by Metra Heritage Corridor trains enroute to Joliet Illinois, as well as Chicago to St. Louis Missouri regional Amtrak trains. This is located west of the Chicago city limits, in southwest suburban Summit Illinois. A Canadian National freight train was waiting on a hold order at the time of My visit.
