I took this photo one summer afternoon in June of 2008. We are on the near southwest side of the city of Chicago Illinois, just east of the city limits border at west suburban Cicero Illinois. Always a small train yard back in the days when this facility was owned by the Illinois Central Railroad, today this little yard is owned and operated by the 1999 succesor railroad Canadian National. This view is looking east from approximately South Kostner Avenue toward nearby South Pulaski Road.
