Atlantic Coast Line Railroad preserved steam locomotive # 250. The Wilmington Railroad Museum. Wilmington, North Carolina USA. April 1995.

I took this photo while on a vacation to Wilmington North Carolina in the southern states. Seen here on display, is a preserved 4-6-0 type passenger steam locomotive from the former Atlantic Coast Line Railroad. The cab was open for inspection, and You could actually ring the locomotive bell as well. Wilmington North Carolina is a lovely city to visit on the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean. There are nice attractions to visit like the Aquairium and the preserved world war two battleship USS North Carolina in town.

This engine has been moved to the new Wilmington Railroad Museum location. I will be happy to send you a photo of it in its new setting if you would like it.

Hello Mr Bryden.
I enjoyed My April 1995 visit
to Wilmington North Carolina. It was great climbing into the cab
and ringing the bell of this preserved and very historic steam locomotive.

I would absolutely love to see some photographs of this engine at it's new location, and I would also like to hear any news or other information on the museum itself.

Thank You.
