I took this photo just outside of the enginehouse door, at the Hesston Steam Museum in northwest Indiana. The locomotive seen here, had originally worked in the former republic of East Germany. This locomotive is a compact, but quiete powerful industrial steam locomotive. The dual narrow guage 2 and 3 foot guage museum mainline is very hilly, and this locomotive and it's 8 tiny driving wheels provide plenty of torque.
The locomotive was still under restoration at the time of My visit during the annual Labor Day Steam Show, but was put on display outside of the enginehouse.
