I took this winter sunset railroad photo, in Febuary of 2007 during that imfamous Chicago Deep Freeze of 2007. A former Grand trunk Western EMD roadswitcher acquired by the Canadian National via a merger, is seen spotting a covered hopper on an industrial siding, just west of the CN Crawford Yard near Hawthorne Junction. The outside temperature was a bitterly cold 8 degrees above zero Farenheight, with a sharp windchill factor blowing in from the west.
