The CTA Trainmaster's ofice at the Howard Street terminal and yard. Evanston Illinois USA. April 1986.
In April of 1986, the Illinois Railway Museum sponsored a chartered fantrip over the Chicago Transit Authority's rapid transit rail lines around the city of Chicago Illinois. The trip was billed as "The Snowflake Special", and utilized an 8 car train of 1950's era CTA lightweight 6000 series rapid transit cars that were operating in their final decade of service.
One of the sidelines to this tour, was a tour of the Trainmaster's office at the Howard Street terminal in north suburban Evanston Illinois. Here is a view of the office wich is normally locked to the public.
