A standard 2 car Chicago Transit Authority Yellow line train, is seen racing northbound at the Main Street crossing signal in north suburban Skokie Illinois USA. With high pitched electronic whistle tweeting, the train speeds past on a lovely afternoon in March of 2007.
In past years...this line was known as the Skokie Swift. Prior to the January 21st 1963 abandonement due to bankruptcy...This line was originally part of the Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad mainline from Chicago to Milwaukee Wisconsin.
