I took this photo one cloudy December morning in the year of 2006. I spotted this westbound Norfolk Southern Railroad freight train, approaching the northwest suburban Elmwood Park Illinois Metra commuter rail station. This transfer / run through train is proboubly heading to the CP Rail Bensenville Yard near Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The train is on the normally "Eastbound" mainline, and was proboubly dispatched onto the wrong mainline because of heavy rail traffic on the former Milwaukee Road mainline.Monday, March 12, 2007
