Back in the late 1980's, I had bought a set of old black and white steam locomotive photographs at a flea market.This particulair locomotive, is a 2-8-0 Consolidation type locomotive from the Duluth & Northeastern Railroad, wich operated in the State of Minesota. The D&N,E was one of those little shortline railroads, that actually ran steam locomotives in daily service until 1965. Fortunately,locomotive # 16 has been preserved and is on display in Cloquet Minesota.
