I spotted this heavilly weathered former Illinois Central Gulf covered hopper, passing through Berwyn Illinois on the Canadian National's former Illinois Central Iowa Division Mainline. The CN transfer train was moving slowly westbound at Riverside Drive just east of South Harlem Avenue / U,S Route # 43 at the borders of Berwyn and North Riverside Illinois. If You wait around long enough, You can occasionally see cars from former long gone railroads, and color schemes that have long since come and gone. This car and color scheme is circa 1972.
