I spotted this former Chicago & NorthWestern Railroad hopper car passing alongside West Kinzie Street, on an eastbound Union Pacific unit coal train in Chicago. Although railroads often become "Fallen Flags" through corporate mergers and takeovers, equipment still in the previous railroad's colors and markings can sometimes be found in service many years after the fact. This one was relatively un grafitti tagged as well. A nice reference for modeling.Tuesday, November 13, 2007
