A favorite fun place I had known for many years in the greater Chicagoland Area, was the Kiddieland Amusement Park in nearby northwest suburban Melrose Park Illinois. After 81 years in operation, the park owners had lost their lease. Kiddieland officially closed on Sunday, September 27th 2009.
I took this picture on a rainy Thursday, October 8th 2009 visit after the park had closed. This sign marked the west entrance driveway on nearby 5th Avenue'
I thought that I should photograph this image before it is torn down.
