The late day sun is glinting off of the stainless steel sides of an eastbound Metra commuter local. The train seen here has just reved it's engine block after an airbrake test, and is slowly gaining momentum as it leaves the Hollywood Station -aka Zoo Stop, on the east side of Brookfield Illinois. The next stop will be Riverside Illinois. After a few more stops, the train will arrive at Chicago Union Station.This was photographed on the busy BNSF Railway mainline. Commuter trains travel daily over the 3 track mainline between Chicago and Aurora Illinois.
