A westbound BNSF Railway empty unit coal train has just entered west suburban Riverside Illinois, and is gradually building up speed as it passes through some of Chicagolands annual Autum colors. The empty train is more than likely heading to one of the large coal mines in the State of Wyoming located in the Powder River Basin. Unit coal trains travel this line daily.
The pattern is , loads eastbound, emptys westbound. This is a busy Chicagoland mainline.
