I took this photo while visiting the July 1983 Railroad Days Celebration in the west suburban town of West Chicago Illinois. Seen here one year before the formation of Chicago's Metra commuter rail agency, is a 1970's era EMD model F-40PH passenger locomotive wearing the original Chicago RTA color scheme used on commuter trains.
