I took this photo after work one afternoon, in March of 2007.

The straw brown colors of wintertime plant life are begining to change to the green hues of springtime in scattered places around Chicago, as this heavy BNSF Railway unit grain train passes through Hawthorne Junction at the Chicago city limits. This transfer freight train, is traveling southbound over the Belt Railway of Chicago trackage to the BRC Clearing Yard in Bedford Park Illinois.
