An eastbound Chicago Transit Authority Orange line train has just left the Pulaski Road station, and is speeding along the embankment. The next stop will be Kedzie Avenue. The track in the foreground is from the Belt Railway of Chicago, and is used to service the BNSF Corwith Yard, as well as other industries east of South Lawndale Avenue. My experience as an on location railfan began here in 1977, when I was a freshman at nearby Curie High school across from the rapid transit line embankment, and out of view.
